We are about to open the time capsule.

We predict that inside will be:

Jade- Old newspaper
Atoa- Lollies
Andreayos- mud
Vaishali- Photos
makaia- small bag
Harrieta - Rocks

Vili- photos of the people that put it there
Sophie- Old fireworks

Today Jim was under our classroom and found a totally awesome rusty old tin. At first we did not know what it was but we looked closer and found it was a time capsule from 1953 Room 16. Wow!!!
We could not open it as it was to rusty but we asked Jim to see if he had some special tools to crack into it. We were really excited and cant wait for tomorrow to find out what is inside.

We will pull one thing our each day and post it on our blog to show you. AWWW so exciting.

                                                          The Rusty Old Time Capsule

Last week the Storyline Show can to our school. The taught us about attitudes and always trying your best even. Here is what we saw.

WOW the Lorax made a delivery today.

First we got a call from Miss Gleesin to tell us we had a special delivery.
Then we found the Lorax note. We were so excited that the Lorax sent us a Pahutakawa Tree.
We walked over to our hole and the tablets were gone! Magic !
Then we planted our tree and did the chant. Take a look at our day.

 Here is 1/3 Maths group making two and three digit numbers using place value.

Today we got a letter from the Lorax.
He told us some steps to plant a tree.

"I can't wait till tomorrow to see what will happen" said Andreayos . "I wonder if the Lorax comes again" said Hali-Jay.We hope he does. We wrote a recount about what has happened so far.

It gave us the instructions and chant. We were so surprised the Lorax came at Morning Tea. 

First we ruled up the space to what the Lorax said.

Then we watered it

Then we put in the tablets that help prepare the soil.

Then we did the chant

                      Then we came back to class and wrote a recount on what we did for the Lorax King
