Star of the day today is Faafetai.

Today we went to the sandpit and we made teams of three and four. We made sand castles and we dug tunnels. "we put sand in buckets to make the castles" Said Faafetai. When it was time to go back to class we had fun busting down our castles. We all helped to pack up the sand. 

Today the star of the day was Sanford. 

We presented our classroom today to the school. We wore our Kiwi hats and Lenn and Viliami addressed the school. We showed a video of our week with our chant and handshake on it.

We were very lucky today to have two new friends join the Creative Kiwis. We would like to welcome April and Faafatai to our whanau. We made all about me robots to find out exciting new thing about them and each other today. 

Tuesday 5 February

Today the star of the day was : Tremayne 

Today we made up a our class chant and handshake. It was a bit hard at first but we persisted to come up with a awesome chant and creative handshake. Take a look at our chant below. 

We started writing today. We wrote all about ourselves so Mrs Tollestrup will know who we live with and what we like doing.

We had some time in the pool and we learnt how to swim with our head under the water and kicking fast to keep us afloat. Ayva liked the free time the best.

Day 1 !

Hello Everyone

What a fantastic first day in Room 16. We had such a fun and exciting day here at school. We started our day by getting to know each other and creating our class name. We brainstormed ideas of what we wanted to be. Voted on the top two and then through about how we could link the Habits of Mind to our animal. We then had a deciding vote that we would be the Creative Kiwis! 

We were very excited to meet the new people to our school and show them around. We enjoyed doing portrait art this afternoon and experimenting with crayon and dye. It did get a bit messy but sometimes learning can get that way. 

Don't forget swimming tomorrow, I can't wait to have a splash around in the pool.
