Week 7

What a fantastic week. We had so many exciting things going on.
On Wednesday we had Mr Mac come and read with us. WOW he is a good reader. He read us a funny book called 'It's a Book'. Then Mrs Tollestrup did something Crazy. She forgot to do reading, maths and writing on Thursday so we built a hut out of a rainbow parachute instead to protect us from the storm. We had so much fun it was the best day ever!

Wow what a wonderful week it has been at Rowandale.

This week we have focused on Reading, Writing and Maths. Because we have worked so hard all week we had a Friday Fun Day. We started off with Discovery. We built a hut to keep us safe from the weather. We even had a TV and a heater inside. It was under desks so we could fit under it. We then did some amazing Tiki Art that was so much fun and look great on the wall.

The best part of today is that in assembly a place called 'brighter futures' donated a BBQ bench that some Teens made. Thanks Guys ! We will love sitting on it. Atoa, Viliami, Sanford, Sonia and Sophie received a 50 book award and we won the Environment Shield !!! We work so hard on producing quality work to display so it is great to receive the award. Thank you !

Have a great weekend everyone.
Only 3 weeks till our assembly.

See you in week 7.

During Discovery we made pancakes, We learnt the the pancake bubbles when it is ready to be flipped. Thanks Mrs Manuel for helping us.

Here is Kleshay's salt dough face. We had heaps of fun molding the dough into different shapes.
This week we planted our IA garden. We planted kumera, beans, brussel sprouts, carrots and cauliflower. We hope to make a soup out of the vegetables later in the year.

Meet our new friend, Jade. She is year 4 and joined our class last week.

On Thursday 9th May we had an exciting visiter to the school. They were called Rhythmic Beats.
We each had a drum and we learnt two tricky beats. It was so exciting. We had to persist because at times it was really hard. We had to listen really hard to the beat.

We are really good at Managing Impassivity

We had a WOW moment listening to them
